Global warming: so, yes or no: Conference organized by the gene with Jean Jouzel Saint-Pierre-les-Nemours February 12, 2011
This conference will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 20 h 30 at community center of St.-Pierre-les-Nemours, Rue du Clos St. Jean (signs from the station Saint-Pierre de Nemours). Free admission.
The speaker: Jean Jouzel, Director of Research at CEA (Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique), this organization has done most of his scientific career largely devoted to the reconstruction of past climates from ice studies Antarctica and Greenland. From 2001 to 2008 he was Director of the Institute Pierre Simon Laplace (IPSL), which includes six laboratories involved in the Paris region in research on the global environment. He has participated as lead author on the IPCC reports (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007) which he is board member since 2001, Vice-President Scientific Working Group and a leading spokesman.
